Summer clothes?

I will buy some new clothes for the summer today, because all of last year's clothes do not fit me. I do not want very, very summery things like dresses and floaty skirts or short shorts because I get that kind of stuff in the holidays. Can anyone give me ideas on what kind of clothes to buy? Please help! X
